Christmas your Christmas wishes in a real letter, sealed in wax

With CartIrya, your Christmas wishes are a real letter: choose the paper and the wax, write what you never manage to say on the phone and, if you like, sign it by hand. Whoever receives it opens a sealed envelope, breaks the seal and watches your words appear one by one; if they want, they can answer with a letter of their own. Send it right away, or choose to have it open only on Christmas morning, like a present under the tree.

How Christmas letters work

The golden wax seal on the ribbon of the red envelope

I

Paper and wax

A red, forest-green or midnight-blue envelope, a sheet that looks antique, golden wax. You can add a photo or a drawing, even on the envelope.

II

Write your wishes

The real ones, not the message forwarded to everyone. When it is opened, your words appear one by one, as if written in that moment.

  • Whether to send it now, or have it open on a chosen day: until then, the link only shows the date.
  • Whether they can reply with a letter of their own.
  • In your Room you can see when it was opened.

Frequently asked questions

Yes: when you send it, you choose the day. Send the link whenever you like, even weeks before; until that day the link only shows the date, and on the 25th the same link opens the letter.

Yes, if you allow it: at the end of the letter they can answer you with a letter of their own, which comes back to you.

Yes, with a different name inside each letter: it works like an invitation, with an event pack from €9 for up to 20 people, and replies can be switched off. In that case the letters open right away, without a chosen day.

There's no catalogue, but we drew a set of Christmas illustrations ourselves — holly, pine cones, stars, ornaments, Santa, the reindeer, the sleigh, a ribbon to tie the envelope — to upload as photos on the sheet or even on the envelope: download the Christmas drawings

With the classic paper (kraft and red wax) your first two letters each month are free. With paper and colours of your choice it is a premium letter: €3, or 10 letters for €18.
